3rd Brake light mod
Even though my 3rd gen is a '91, it somehow had a rear window from an '86 when I bought it. Since the primitive 3rd brake light is so huge, I decided to try out this project last weekend. I think it turned out pretty good, what do you think? --John

I like it. I wondered why u had an 86 3rd brake light on a 91  Nothing like a backup brake light. Looks good tho, my third brake light lights up "Z28"

Next I rough cut each letter from the printout in a square and taped them one at a time over the masking tape and cut each one out with a razor, ending up with each letter in masking tape. After placing each masking tape letter on the 3rd brake light, I painted several LIGHT coats of black, and after drying a while, peeled off each letter carefully, revealing the still red section underneath... http://home.comcast.net/%7Ecoolcamar...lose_brake.jpg |
i did something similar with my old celica....had the "CELICA" painted in black on the 3rd brake light instead, so when it lit up, it looked like a silhouette.

but celicas = :supergay:

Looks cool, I had a pic saved of a blue thirdgen with that done to the 3rd brake light, though it was in the spoiler. I was thinking about doing it with mine.
