Hot Rod MAgazine Pump Gas Drags
 

hey gang,
since we have so many members looking to step it up over teh winter i figured i would drop the idea nad the link for the pump gas drags. :)
basically it is a "street car" based challenge where you have to go to tech inspection, then take a 20-25 mile cruise to teh strip, then make 3 passes with the lowest average ET winning.
the trick is that this all has to be accomplished on 10 gallons of 93octane rocket brand fuel provided by the the magazine.

tip: LS1 cars will have an advantage

its either gonna be the LS1s or cobras in that one

so far it has been big blocks on spray the first two years they did this. the way i see it a turbo'ed LS1 in a nice light 3rd gen camaro would have a huge advantage in this.
figure you could easily make a car that only weighs around 2800lbs at teh line, has great suspension, and a motor tha can put out 1000hp pretty easy
