Best Mod for 4th Gen

its for the rear hatch when winter stops it from opening. its the second one on installuniversity.com for the rear hatch. basically you piggyback a spring you get from home depot (2 springs for $4) onto the opening mechanism and thats it. i did my car and goofys car today and it worked perfectly for both cars and took about 5 minutes for my car then 3 minutes for goofys once i figured it out. the truck opens the first time you push the button and it opens with some fury! i definately recomend this mod for anyone that hasnt done it yet. if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

I wish all my power accessories like that worked :(

I still cant figure out why my power locks dont work, and I think its connected to my keyless entry problem (trunk as well)

The power door locks use some cheap ass rubber o-ring that is supposed to hold the rod in place. But it tears and you suddenly have no power door lock. I went in and wrapped some wire or a wire twistie around it to hold it in place and it held up for 5 years on my old 93. But if none of your keyless entry locks are working it might need to be reprogrammed. Go to Keyless Entry for instructions on how to reprgrogram. I was able to reprogram my 96.

Can you explain the o-ring problem? Ive never heard my power locks work before so Im guessing its a combination of that and an unprogramed key-less entry system.

Jeff any help or links or even catch me on the phone would be greatly appreciated, If I can get my power locks to work I would be so incredibly happy!
