What happened to the driver?

he vaporized on impact! :shock:

driver walked away. at the scene he only required an ice pack for his neck, took teh trip to the hospital jsut to be safe. i am sure the following day he wasn't feeling too groovy.
story is that he shook teh tires really bad when he grabbed second, the normal solution of jsut grabbing third early only made thing worse and then he was along for the ride.
immediately following this incident the event was shortened to 1/8 mile since he was not the first car to encounter problems on what was apparently a very tricky track.
he was the only driver to have a serious incident as a result of the conditions.

How fast was he going?

not really sure. figure it was a pro mod, they are clipping above 80mph when they go through he 60ft. so figure was was prolly in the 150 range by half track when thigns got really bad.
he was going fast enough to destroy 30ft of fence with a 3000lbs car if that gives you a scale to base the speed on.

and still ran 6 seconds
