My friend died
like the title says, I just found out about an hour ago that one of my friends died. I'm still in shock pretty much. he was my age (22) and he died cause he was huffing something. from what my other friend told me he had just started doing that ****. I'm sad that he's no longer with us, thats for certain. but I cant help but be pissed off that he would do something so stupid. If I seem like an ******* for a while, this should explain that.
Its tragic when someone you know has such a bright future and they end up taking their own life trying to get high off fumes. There are things I will never understand. Why he was taken from this world at such a young age and over something so stupid is beyond me. |
My condolences.
I never did understand what some people's facination with huffing was. :shakes head: - Justin |
Sorry to hear that man. I know how it feels to loose a good friend at a young age.

i'm sorry to hear about your loss. i'm not that much older than you are and i've lost some very close friends and family. on my 17th birthday, my best friend died from complications due to cancer. at 19, a very good friend of mine was shot and killed walking his girl home. and in 2002, i lost my cousin, uncle, and mom in the span of 2 weeks. my mom passed away due to an undiagnosed illness. about 6 months later i had to put my dog that i had for about 14 years to sleep (i know it's not a person, but after that long it's family to me). and i almost lost my dad in 2003 due to a blockage in his heart, which required a triple bypass.
all i can say is stay strong and just remember, although it is pretty dumb to huff, it is still a loss of someone close who did not mean to pass on. |
sorry to hear that. it is hard to understand why people do destructive things to themselves sometimes.

Sorry man.
When I was 17.... I lost my best friend.... I was devastated! Focus on the good times. Take care and we are here for ya! |
i'm sorry to hear about your loss ian. i'm a firm believer in everything happening for a reason. his life may be serving as an example for others in ways we may never know. be strong buddy and we're all here for ya if you need us

i'm really sorry to hear that dude. i hope you feel better.

Sorry to hear about your loss Ian, but I think a few of the others here have a point. Let his stupidity serve a lesson to you and others. Why not go to his high school and explain your friend and what happened to him -- that doing stupid things *can* kill you? Some of the Seniors might have remembered him from when they were Freshmen.

sorry to hear that man :-( Not for justification, but at least it happened due to his own stupidity and not an accident caused by someone else. I found out about a month ago that a guy I was friends with in HS commited suicide. He had a ruff childhood, his father killed his mother. Him and his brother had foster parents. He was a good kid and just got mixed up in the wrong things. Got into drugs, ended up trying to rob a bank (that he worked in) to pay for more heroin. Him and his friend got busted and when he realized he really ****ed up his life, he ODed on the stuff.

Im sorry to hear that man. My friend passed away last year from an overdose (RIP "Sparrow"). He was given bad heroin three years ago. He was in a coma for a really long time. They put him in a nursing home where he eventually gave up the fight. Its sad that people wanna do this **** to themselves. I understand where your coming from... most people that found out about my friend said "well its his fault" ... thats not the kinda **** I wanna hear even tho its true, cuz he was a really good friend. I went to school with someone that just lost his brother at the end of the summer to an oxycotton overdose. Its all sad ****.
My condolences are with you and his family. |
That's tragic. I'm terribly sorry to hear, and hope you get through it alright.

Sorry to hear Ian... we're here for you if you need anything man

effed up that death is all around us. days, weeks, months, years go by and we are blissfully ignorant that it is there until it hits someone we love. it's normal to grieve - remember that. if it takes a few days or a week to get it out of your system, then that's what it takes. i know you don't want to think about this now, but it might be a good idea (part of the grieving process) if you spoke with other people that knew him. i don't mean just passing by, hey how ya doin. but to sit down and talk. maybe even with his parents. they are grieving, too. |

I'll agree with talking to his parents. When a close friend of many of the Ewing crew passed a few years ago, his parents were overwhelmed by the amount of friends that came to the services and spoke with them. Some of his closer friends still stop by their house to see how they are doing from time to time.
