NOO!!! I just lost everything!
I went to reinstall windows XP on my c: drive (80 gig seagate) and i accidently erased the partition on my d: drive in the process (20 giger Western Digital)
DAMNIT ... all my current Mp3's, my pictures, videos, gone. I shouldv'e paid attention to what i was doing...... |

eh, oh well. I luckily have some oh the stuff backed up. Rob_ws6 has most of my mp3 albums. Some stuff is on my laptop ..... so its not a total lost. But definetly put a dent in my progress for the day.

your not the only one, ive had that happen to my multiple times. yea it sucks and you kick yourself in the ass for a few days but eventually you get over it. and yea backups are your friend :D the only thing right now i dont have backed up are my movies cuz its like 50+gb of stuff and i dont feel like burning 12 or so dvds right now... heres sumthin i used to do, make one drive just for storage and when you go to reformat/reinstall something, unplug the storage drive :D works like a charm everytime, that is until the storage drive dies unexpectedly :rolleyes: (had that happen atleast once too, my 80gb DM +9 which was my main drive died unexpectly while i was swapping MoBos)

Bah, never formatted anything that I shouldn't have, I'm always uber-careful when it comes to stuff like that. I've lost too much data in the past to bad HDDs (you know, back when IBM Deathstars still had a good reputation :rolleyes: )
