I just got back...

from the wake. the people at the funeral home did a great job and the bible readings were very touching. Thats saying a lot because I dont even go to church. I talked to his parents and told them how much phil meant to me. I was amazed at how many people were there. We could only fit about half of everyone in the funeral home so I left after I paid my respects. the fire department was there dressed in uniform. It was beautiful.

I'm not doing to great right now, I'll just start crying out of nowhere but I guess thats normal. I was doing fine until they started playing Metallica's cover of turn the page, then I started crying. thanks to everyone how has been supportive, it really helps.

remember, grieving is a process and you have to allow it time to complete.

Sounds like you lost a friend...been there, done that. It's a long process. You're going to have your good days and your bad days. Just remember that in time things heal. You really have to find that balance between remembering that friend and moving on.

I don't know the circumstances because I just joined but I'm sorry for your loss.

qwikz28 12-18-2005 07:32 PM

dont worry about it bro, cause in the end your still the man.

unstable bob gable 12-18-2005 09:31 PM

Peace,
u bob

yeah, mom's passing is harder than most. funny thing is, my gra'mom hit me harder than my mom's death. i guess i was just closer to gra'mom.

each death is an individual case, no two are alike and they most always catch you by surprise - even if you're expecting them. they all take time to heal, too. and they all do heal, eventually.
