Mid Engines are the SAIX.
if you haven't driven a Ferrari or a FIERO in the snow, you are missing out.
got back home fom a concert in NYC pretty late only to discover that there was about 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground, no roads plowed. my friends asked if i just would rather have them drop me off at home, but my car was at my friends house, and i just wanted to get it home. They asked over and over if i was sure, and yes, i was. RWD + snow = the suxor, but RWD + Mid Engine + snow= equals the sexiest beast on the road in the snow. The car handles EXCEPTIONALLY well for RWD, it didn't step out on me at all. Fabulous handing. A lot may just have to do with the fact that I'm confident driving in the snow and I know how to, (thanks Dad) but other than that, if you're gonna have a sports car on the road in the snow, the fiero is a good choice, i must say. *** AND thanks to my mother, and to James' advice in the frozen door-lock thread, heating my key up was like, an instant fix and instant entry. Amazing. |
never driven a fiero...still would buy one to do a custom kit car though, not a kit car of anything that already exists though. And i dont take my ferrari out in this weather, lol, oh and is a fiero really considered a sports car...hmmm...

hahaha. Maybe if you guys quit jerkin off to camaros you could open your eyes for one second and notice there are some other cool cars out there, ones that already only come with two seats. |
lol, ive noticed fieros, i have looked at buying a few GT6 cars but prices can get up there. I will own one some day, and probably do a 3.8 grand national turbo motor swap(or some v12 engine) with a custom body. I may even do a lambo kit car but it would be a very clean version with the stretched frame and all. I rarely see any fieros on the roads anymroe around here.

 she's not kidding! |
your fiero needs more L67
and SmokinSS, why a GN motor? the FWD 3.8 S/C will drop right in basically, using the same trans and everything...and it can be turboed ;) |
Its times like this and weather like this that I enjoy remote start and keyless entry...ah, technology.
|
hmmm Ive always wanted a black feiro I like the idea of the gn swap!

i bought an SE back in '88, it was an '86. it developed the exhaust problem, so i traded it in on my formula. it was a cute little car but way underpowered. the body kits were just starting to become popular (and expensive). anyway, i owned an '84 4 cylinder in '94. it was an insurance piece, that fell off the lift at the mechanic's and broke the body in four places. perfect candidate for a body kit. if it hadn't been for the township where i lived and their anality, i probably would've done something with it. they charged me with an abandoned vehicle (no plates on it) and that pissed me off enough to get rid of it. strike two. i don't foresee another one in my future, but i'll never say never.
