Thinking about starting a car club....
 

Something I have been mulling over...I love youse guys and gals, but I don't have an F body, and don't see having one in the near or distant future. Plus I'm a fan of any kind of American iron. I also work 2nd shift and have Fridays and Saturdays off, so doing anything during the week is pretty much out. So, I've had a "pet" idea rolling around in my head...

Da "NJ ROAD WARRIORS!"

A casual knit group of multi marque American cars/bikes that would meet up on Friday or Saturday to hang out, go cruising, help each other wrench, b.s., etc. I wouldn't care if it was mostly f bodies from here and me...lol I just like to think that there could be a whole lotta diversity going on...Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, Chevelles, MoPars, Monster trucks, Jeeps, Harleys, etc, etc.

I am in NO WAY trying to change anything from this club, or detract from it. I'd just like to see what could come of a mass grouping. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

You might have wanted to talk to tim or justin before you posted this! Me and 8 people got the boot for talking about this same idea just like this In a different forum..You learn from mistakes, how ever I like this idea, you can help me wrench :mrgreen: :nod:

I think Tim and Justin know that bob isnt out to steal any of us, just put together another club for more than just f-bodies. I mean, most of us are involved with a few other forums anyhow, whats one more?

this is actually one of the premises that this club was founded on. if people wanna do something different it is completely up to them. i woudl be down to hang with UB and some american iron.
we dont' require any dues, level of participation, or extremes of loyalty around here. just have fun and enjoy the club on whatever level fits your life best.

Bob, you know I am definitely in. I think its a great idea, and I will support in any way I can. And if you want to set something up like a car show or a cruise to get things rolling I know I can definitely get alot of Iron (and maybe some fiberglass) out for a show, cruise, etc.

If it's not a V8 superiority show I'm in ;)

still havent met any of ya considering ive only been on here like a week but just from reading old posts ect u all seem cool sides it would give me a chance to bring out the truck and maybe get my lazy ass in gear restoring my 57 bel air.... but that would take money from the ta :{ so prolly wouldnt do it anytime soon anyway

Just remember, Smally Smalls...my "other" muscle ride is a V6! :) A V6 F-body is OK in my book.

Hell, it would be cool to even have some 4 banger American rides come around, as long as they ain't Ricers! A buddy of mine works with a dood who has a Cobalt SS, so he may be down for hangin'. And maybe a few of my ol' SRT4 buddies will stop by...

EDIT: And if the police roll in, tell em the big tank is just a racing nitrous system. :-)
