A member here, jrsfast84, just opened a machine shop with a friend of his. He has a 9 second thirdgen, and he knows his way around a motor pretty well :)

When I saw the title I thought "Most high school girls these days". Or "Every college girl in the early 90's EXCEPT for the ones I dated."

so you'd recommend him? can you get me more information, if you have it handy. i mean, i can look it all up, but if you've got a business card or something and can copy it realy quick i'd appreciate it.

also any work that he's done recently.

Teds89IROC 02-27-2006 11:07 PM

I don't have any business card or anything. The only thing I know is that he's been jerking my ex boss (Sam) around with his motor for a while now. Sam didn't really care that much because he was still doing body work and roll cage, brakes, rearend, fuel cell...etc so he didn't need the motor yet. Last I talked to Sam he was shooting to have the car done for the spring/summer, so he was going to go try to get things moving. I know the guy does good work, but I don't know if him slacking on jobs is a common thing or not. My dad knows Bill as well, I'll ask him what he thinks of Bill and his work and things like that. I'll also be getting in touch with Sam soon, I'll ask him the progress on his motor and what he now thinks of Bill.

as far as bill jerking around or slacking, you got youre wires crossed. not only does bill have a good turn around time but he offers the highest of quality in machine work and product. if there is ever a delay by bill it is due to the fact that all parts for every application are special ordered, and he is waiting on a distributor to make him his parts. and if there is going to be a delay he calls the customer and will give you an estimated time of arrival of the parts. He is also very busy with high end race engines and has no time for patch and go. oh and another reason an enigine may take a long time is when a customer gets in over his head and cant afford it. i have been dealing with bill for 9 years, and my father has dealt with bill before i was born. His reputation is very well known and respected. check previous englishtown news letters frank armando, andrew bracuto, rick constabile, james young, the list goes on and on , they are all ceralli engines, these names are allways on the top of the list. andrew bracuto won this years bracket finals making him #1 with a ceralli engine. here is the thing if you want a perfect job and you are a person who only settles for the best, bill is your man. contact him @973-742-4972 he is located in paterson on e18th street. oh and before you call, not to be schrewd but if you are shopping price your not shopping quality and that is not the type of customers i want to reccommend. thank you.

no wires are crossed here, I worked at the body shop for a little over a year and that engine wasn't done. My boss is also good friends with billy mayer who works there (don't know how to spell his name) and has always done work for those guys over the years and was never short on cash or didn't have proper funds to complete the engine. It's also a race motor, not some pocket ported plain 350. Anyway, the engine was supposed to be done in time for the super bowl, one of the guys was going to use it for some commercial or something, I didn't get the straight story..but he ended up getting sick, so there was no commericial and the engine wasn't finished.

bills health was definately more important than any engine project, he had a heart attack, so i guess your right no wires crossed.

Teds89IROC 03-01-2006 06:16 AM

I didn't know he was the one that had a heart attack recently, but that still didn't account for the past 2.5 years he had the engine. You're acting like I'm ripping this guy apart; I'm not arguing with you that he doesn't do good work, my boss has had other engines done by him over the years and my dad has had heads done by him. I'm just saying what went on with one particular instance. Don't mean to make you upset, but just because you've never had a problem doesn't mean thats the same case for everyone.

not trying to start an arugment,i just know that bill treats everyone equal and if an engine has been there or anywhere else for that matter for that long of a time ,there is more to the story than what is being told, you know what i mean, sorry if i sound like a prick(seriously)

I know what you mean. Bill and him are friends, so I know there are no hard feelings or anything like that with this issue.
