found them on ebay and had someone do a quick chop for me...a little under $500 shipped for them. gotta find out the status on the MX-6 before i can do anything though

maroman88 02-21-2006 08:49 PM

sweeeeeet

Tsar 02-21-2006 08:52 PM

they look alright, but holy wheelgap batman!

GP99GT 02-21-2006 10:02 PM

yeah...id lower it, except 1. i wouldnt get up my driveway, and 2. GPs have some problems with driveline angles causing vibration, and i dont feel like messing with all of that. if i get new wheels, i might either get 18s with the same profile tire, or get bigger profile tires and stick with 17's...right now its 235/45/17, i might be able to get 255/55/17 or 255/50/17....idk. havent figured out the specifics yet :p

qwikz28 02-21-2006 10:04 PM

i like the ones on the car now though... how about keeping the money for other mods instead? unless of course you can still get more money for the ones you have now

GP99GT 02-21-2006 10:13 PM

the ones on there now are scratched as hell and bent pretty bad in some places, its amazing they hold air.

you go off roading a lot?

Tru2Chevy 02-21-2006 11:49 PM

Those look pretty cool. Similar in design to the Rota Subzeros that Garrett has on his Mini.

you would think i do,

all of the bends in them are from the previous owner though, except maybe one i may have put in it on the way to e-town one night.....hit a decent sized pothole on 78

HardcoreZ28 02-22-2006 11:16 AM

I hate black wheels in almost all cases, except yours. Black on black with the chrome lip is acceptable. I say go for it if your current wheels are beat up.

im gonna see if i can find some GPs that arent lowered but have aftermarket wheels and see what size tires they use.

Whats the obsession with black rims? Personally, black rims = teh gay unless its on the right car, like Alex's or Saint's.

Now, we know 3800's sound like an overweight belemic 350z ... dont try to rice your car out ;-) 100% truth, your car looks perfect the way it is now. :-D

GP99GT 02-22-2006 03:48 PM

noah, are you drunk?

it sits like my old blazer did....theres like 4 inches of wheel gap

and like i said...the. wheels. are. bent. one is bent enough to throw it off balance and it wobbles once in a while, i forgot about that.

enRo 02-22-2006 05:20 PM

O Ok Then UPGRADE!!!!! Alloys/chrome on a black car is sexier. Theres enough black on and inside the car :-D

Rich189 02-22-2006 05:38 PM

i like them i was thinking bout going with the black/chrome lip combo on my t/a too

V 02-22-2006 05:54 PM

i dont like the black wheels, give the car an odd look, i cant put my finger on it, but stick to somethign along the mines of like silver painted alloy wheels. black rims with a polished lip looks good on 20"+ but it just makes 17's look small. but thats just my opinion.

1. :finger:

2. "overweight bulemic"... how th hell does that work. Unless the bulemia has just began...

Ian 02-22-2006 07:21 PM

I dont really like the way those black rims look on your car. silver rims , like the ones you have on there now would look a lot better.

#1 - :finger: = my trademark

#2 - Oxymoron, but it still works. See, unlike Alex with the Camaro Z28 aka "Trans Am 4 Life" and "Big Daddy Kane" where I dont pay child support or support a child of some type... Overweight Bulemic still works out tho... :-D AKA Makes Yokozuna want to :barf:
