Escaped out of a tint ticket!

so I was chilling in a parking lot at around 1:45AM with my girlfriend... you know.. discussing recent and important political events.

A cop had pulled someone over just down the road, and I knew once he was finished with him, he was going to come for me. But since I was in a conversation about recent important political events, I didn't care too much at that point in time.

So the cop finally finishes, and comes over and pulls directly behind me.

To preface this story, I have 5% tint on every window.

I get out of the car and the officer immedietly goes "what are you doing out here this late?"

I told him I was having issues with my girlfriend.

"your windows are pretty dark there, do you know that's illegal in the state of new jersey?"

I reply "I'm sorry officer i'm aware of that, I bring my car to some car shows and it adds to its apearance."

he goes "Dont appologize to me, appologize to the state when you need to get a brand new reinspection sticker. Can I have some identification please."

So at this point i'm like great.. not only am I getting a ticket, he's taking away my sticker.

The second cop rolls up, and I notice he's a LOT younger, probably around 30.

the first cop goes "Hey John, would you ever get your windows tinted this dark?" At this point I was sure it was just going to be a rhetorical question..

"Yeah actually.. I had my windows done this dark on my firebird forumula.. 5% right?"

I laughed and I said "you have a good eye man" lol

"This is a WS6 huh? 6 speed?"

after my replies he said "nice, you got it done right!"

"you ever bring it to atco?"

I got in a little conversation and told him I ran at the track, and I was just about to start it up for him to let him hear it

Anyways the older cop at this point looked a little ticked off and just interupted the younger one, and just said well be on your way please.

I went home with a smile :)

sweet deal man.. thats like how i got out of a burnout ticket, except the younger cop did the pulling over, and just started asking me questions about the car.
