April Meet: Central Jersey Ideas

Ok, as I posted in the May meet, lets get tooled up for the April meet for Central. I was thinking a meet at Duke Island Park where a few of us in a prior club had a bbq type deal. They have grills to cook on, all we need to do is bring the food and charcol...lets not forget about the lighter fluid/bee terminator.

Any other ideas?

april is being aken care of. hooters woudl be nice, but they would want us to either slot into one of their regular car show days or jsut have us show up and hope for the best as far as seating. we can reserve space, but they require a deposit and club funds are not currently available for that.

So Tim, the april meet has been taken care of already? hmm, I was gonna offer a place in hillsborough, but okay. I agree with Al, we're gonna have to have a BBQ, its gonna be getting nice out soon so we have to start the planning for that kind of meet.

Well, it doesnt have to be an official club meet, but a get together on a nice saturday or would be cool for some people?
Anyway, here are some shots of Duke Island Park a few years back.

Where is Duke Island Park??

april isn't done yet by any means. i have been in touch with several places and haven't been able to put together anything that would be acceptable for us yet. i will talk to you guys at the trucks wednesday night about it.
i just ahve to know who we need to talk to about permits and stuff and what is allowed/not allowed in the park.
i like the BBQ idea, and judging by the pictures we can definately fit enough cars :)

I was at that meet with my old second gen, but stoopid al ran out of film by the time I arrived. I did a lot of driving that day. I drove from my house to E-town for the swap meet, then from E-town to the park, then I drove back to my house. Probably around 75-100 miles of driving

worth every mile though!

hahah...its ok, I went to Staten Island and had to do a 180* on 440 to get to the park. Stupid Outer Bridge crossing...
