I was wondering if this was a good idea (firebird)
So, the other day I was trying to think of more cool/weird things I could do with my car.... I have a Firebird so i've got those flip lights, wouldn't it be cool if i could activate a switch that makes my headlights alternate from each side going up and down. If anybody has an idea how to do this please help....!

that would be dumb as hell
|
Um..so its got like a lazy eye? Meh...not a good idea.
|
good way to wear out the motors.....
|
why?

My headlights do that when it's cold and that's totally unintentional. You'd end up with a winking car later.

you can buy a headlight waggle switch, then just convert it to handle the headlight relays instead of the lights themselves. remember, there is cool/weird and there is dumb/weird. you're straddling the line. |
stationary head lights FTW!
|
ok maybe i'll just buy those hornblasters.com thing haha
|
In stead of blowing out your headlight motors you can install wig wags. It’s a unit that you wire into your headlights and it’ll alternate the flashing of your lights.
The unit: http://www.swps.com/headtailflas.html In action: http://media.putfile.com/Strobe-Lights (without the red and blue strobes) They are emergency lights and you do need a permit for it, but you don’t need one to order them… |
Yea I have installed wigwags on my friend's mustang... he's an EMT tho
|
hornblasters are sick haha if i only had the money.

i got wigwags, wat a mess of spliced wires!

It's dumb, as you'll kill the motors, and I think it is illegal to have flashing headlights without a permit (EMT, etc.)_

i was going to go with the waggle switch and clear halogen flashers in the four corners, but i think i am over that now. dunno, i might still do it. it's not something you can see unless you turn them on. |
