Monroe sensatrac shocks
 

My next thing is a new set of shocks...everyone seems to say that bilstiens are the best shock for 4th gen fbodys, I was just wondering what others here are using and does anyone have any feedback on monroes ?

For just everyday cruising and overall comfort, sensatracs are good. If you enjoy tossing the car into corners I would look into something a bit better.

hmm, I would kinda agree to a point. I had sensatracs, on my 3rd gen, with some Eldebrock parts, and could handle just fine. I personally would go and pick up the edlebrock shocks. I've always been a big fan of their parts and paln on using them when it comes time to replace mine.

I would sooner grab a set of Bilstein HDs if you can afford them. If not, maybe some KYB AGXs or GR-2s

Looks Like KYB's have taken the lead !! (My company gets a discount with tire rack) or i still wont rule-out Bilstiens (They have the largest amount of positive feedback!)Thanks for the replys!!

KYBs from what i hear are barely an improvement over stock... bilsteins are awesome for stock height. now if you plan on lowering the car then thats a different story

i think the KONI adjustables are suposed to be great.

KYB GR-2's will be a small improvement over stock, KYB AGX's are adjustable, id buy them if they made em for my car. You can adjust the dampening however you want, and its just a twist of a knob.

Well I went to sears and had them install a pair of lifetime sensatracs today (price was right $80.00 installed) And so far I am very happy, its raining like hell today so i only drove it back but YES It feels really great.They may not be bilstiens or koni's but i think they will do the job!

Yea, pretty much anything will be better than worn out stockers....

Yes There is a BIG difference in how it rides and feels and heck like I said kept my hands clean and spent $80 bucks, thats a good deal:smile:
Now i am loking into LCA's or possibly sub-frame connectors to improve my handling.... Not sure which to go with first , i found some good deals on UMI performance web site

UMI pieces are pretty nice. LCAs will help more with straight line traction, the subframe connectors help overall handling by eliminating flex all over the car. They also help get rid of any squeeks and rattles that you may have.

i just did the sfc's and they are awsome i did the umi 2pt bolt ons i love em.

Great to get the feedback !! UMI bolt-ons is the way Im going to go in the near future, do you Feel an "overall" differance?? can you feel it even when not going into a turn hard?

I can vouche that bilsteins last...my stockers in the rear have been there for 19 years, and m AC delco's in the front, which have been there for 2 years, are shot.

when i can afford it im gonna get some KONI yellows, yes their expensive, but the adjustability and lifetime warranty are awesome.

you feel it whenever you drive, when me and my friend installed them and took it out even he in the pasenger seat said wow holy **** its so much stiffer the car just feels more together all around. i didnt notice a huge diffrence in turns a little bit less body roll i guess perhaps just not twisting as much as rolling but when your just goin down the road feels alot better. basically just feels more solidly build.
