Brando56894 04-18-2006 07:42 PM

95firebirdconvertible 04-18-2006 07:46 PM

Damn, I could have swore I replied to this thread...Anyway, yeah, Axl doesn't have the voice anymore.

Rob WS6 04-18-2006 08:27 PM

+1000 F Axl. Go see Velvet Revolver instead.

PBodyGT87 04-18-2006 11:10 PM

besides, if you go see them as guns and roses it's either axl without the band, or the band without axl, since they really just split and axl likes to abuse the rights and whatnot.

I used to love GNR, and still love their old stuff. But since I saw the new gnr at the VMAs (i think?) I wasn't impressed. Axl has the whole Cher look going on and its not the same. I saw Velvet Revolver, loved the band but Scott was so ****ed up he ruined the show.

BobonaStick 04-19-2006 12:02 AM

GnR used to be the greatest out there... but thats just how it is these days... everything used to be...

"LOADED LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN...FLYING LIKE AN AEROPLANE...FEELING LIKE A SPACE BRAIN ONE MO' TIME TONIGHT! I'M ON DA NIGHT TRAIN! BOTTOMS UP! I'M ON DA NIGHT TRAIN! FILL MY CUP!"

Appetite for Destruction is DA BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

Tru2Chevy 04-19-2006 03:00 PM

You got it UBG, that's a great album.

Appetite, UYI I & II, GnR Lies, all incredible. not a big fan of the Spaghetti Incident, but new ****, forget it.

turbo96z28 04-19-2006 04:35 PM

the only way i'd go see GnR is if someone takes me back to 1987 in a time machine.

DL some of bucketheads solo work. The man is an AMAZING guitarist. It's real nice "sit back and chill" kinda instrumental work, at least the album i have (Colma).

Rob WS6 04-21-2006 03:52 PM

Yeah, Buckethead can definatley play. Hes done ALOT of work, his portfolio is huge. Regardless though, hes a ****ing wierdo no matter how you cut it.

Brando56894 04-21-2006 05:50 PM

yea he is an awesome guitarist, but GnR isnt GnR w/o slash...

Sloppy guitar rock rules!!!

Axl is a douche. Ask the people in Philly still waiting for GnR to come on. He just never showed a few years ago.
