i got fired

I got fired! :w00t: normal people would be upset but i'm happy for some reason. When they told me i just turned my back and started to walk away without saying anything, assistant manager stoped me and asked me if i wanted to know i was being fired to which i replied "sure humor me, son"

I got fired cuz i wouldnt didnt work on saturdays . when i got hired i told them specific days i was gonna work and everyone was fine with it, then about a month later they started to nag me about working extra hours. I told them no. they nagged again, again and again but got pretty much the same answer  i guess they finally grew some balls to fire me.

in conclusion; Lynnes Nissan in Byram can kiss Space Stations ass!!!
on a sadder note i need a new job now

turbo96z28 04-19-2006 05:47 PM

V 04-19-2006 05:50 PM

welcome to the world of the unemployed :w00t:

NJSPEEDER 04-19-2006 05:50 PM

actually if you wanna have fun with this.......................SUE THE **** OUT OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!
if as a part of your employment/salary negotiations your schedule was fixed as not including weekends that can not be used as grounds for dismissing you. even though you woudl have been with in the traditional 90day probationary period, they can't hold it against you. :)
also, if your position had a set number of hours per week you can not be required to work extra hours unless you have a contract that specifically states that you can be held accountable for overtime/extra time with proper notice. :D

i believe it would be fair to hold them accountable for however much you would have earned until you reached 65 including annual salary increases based on whatever pay scale system they use and some punitive damages never hurt either :D

i dunno i worked there since septemebr 2005 and they nagged me about extra hours ever since novemberish or so. I didnt sign anything that would say i only work certain amount of time per week, it was kind of an oral agrement between me and the general manager. I go to college so i physically couldnt work more then i agree to, well except for saturdays(but i told them when they hired me that i was NOT ok with working on the weekends). they were told that from the get go but i guess something chaged. i dont think i can sue them cuz it will be their word agasint mine and we know how that goes

im not upset about it so whatever

Well, to tell you the truth, last August 22nd '05, i got layed off, and i knew they were never going to call me back(pink slip), it felt kinda like a bad move but in the long run, i'm collecting unemployment and i'm going to collect till they say NO MORE FOR YOU, then who knows, but free time i have to much now, i can sleep till noon if i want, and i can't get up early if i tryed, so enjoy your time off, its nice weather for doing " NOTHING". JR1.
