The RIAA are retards. Do what my one friend does, put all your songs on a partition on a secondary hard drive. If the RIAA ever finds any of the songs there, they had to hack his computer to find them, and that's just a little bit illegal too.

I agree with that... that's what i have been doing for the last 2 years... besides an ip scrambler, and nice firewall... they have a hard time finding me :)

yea all my music/movies are on a different partition or harddrive i can remember which. damn linux for wanting alot of partitions :lol: also they cant say anything if they ever catch me cuz im actually starting to buy my music from mp3search.ru its like a $1.50 for a full album at 320kbps :D

I've been getting music from that site for ages. It is illegal in the US, and the RIAA is trying to influence them to stop making the service available to Americans. I remember that site was down for about a month last summer while they were trying to work through some legal matters.

I'm too picky about my music collection to download anything from most p2p networks. The only one I ever really use is Direct Connect....

i dont see how it would be illegal, your paying for it so your technically not "stealing" it. and yea i used to get my music off of P2P networks but half the time they were ****** quality

Yes, but you are paying for MP3s made from someone's personal copies. The music on there isn't licensed for distribution.

:werd: nothing in russia is lisenced, most of the stuff is a rip off. thats how we have movies available on dvd before they come out here in the movie theaters :rofl: i remember i went there a few years ago and i walked into a store and it looked kinda funny. then i realized that i saw commercials for all those movies in the States however they werent out yet, so i watched them :razz:
