V 05-06-2006 01:36 AM

Kasey did it!!

but seriously...
did someone forget to pay some bills?

or it was karma for locking the buddylist thread, lol

Brando56894 05-06-2006 01:38 AM

i think it was the latter

V 05-06-2006 01:52 AM

i guess we'll get the whole story tomorrow.

At least now i can go to bed and not worry about losing any sleep over this.
The site is back up, and all is well, now our lives can continue...

79CamaroDiva 05-06-2006 01:59 AM

.... and theres no catching up to do :(

Savage_Messiah 05-06-2006 03:02 AM

Judging by this I'm thinking the buddy list had something to do with it...

Auto response from Tru2Chevy24: My apologies to all who have been trying to access www.NJFBOA.org this afternoon. Our account was suspended for overloading our hosting company's webserver.

I have received information from our host regarding the issue, and we will take steps to figure out what caused it and prevent it from happening again.

The site is now back up and running as usual.

NJSPEEDER 05-06-2006 07:02 AM

i am blaming a combination of diva destruction and lepardoo. :p

actually, it is just that our hosting company has proven much less reliable than they advertised. the suspension of our site was for reasons not listed in the contract and they have failed to give any explaianation of how a forum with less than 1000 members could have put so much strain on what are supposed to be uberservers.
our contract with canaca is up in july and justin is already searching for a suitable replacement.

project89 05-06-2006 07:25 AM

tim/justin check out www.ics-il.com my friend runs that hosting company and offers many hosting plans, i have 2 accounts with him now for over 2 years, and the service/relability is outstanding.not to mention in 2 years i have only only had 2-4 days of downtime total

WayFast84 05-06-2006 07:45 AM

damn, yester day was a pretty bad day, when i tried to log on and I couldnt I was just rofl....

foff667 05-06-2006 07:47 AM

maybe it had something to do with the buddy list thread

BonzoHansen 05-06-2006 07:56 AM

Lots of pics as atachments lately, maybe that doesn't help. I like to wildly guess out loud. :)

NJSPEEDER 05-06-2006 08:54 AM

looking at the info i have access to i am just gonna have to call ********. we didn't have any more people on than usual at the time the site went down.
i am thinking they ****ed up and we caught the ****** end of the stick for it while they sorted out their own disaster.

11 Bravo 05-06-2006 09:56 AM

For awhile there I thought I had been banned lol

BigAls87Z28 05-06-2006 08:38 PM

Here is what happend
Kasey told the server to spin'em....

Brando56894 05-06-2006 09:01 PM

:funny:

garretwp 05-06-2006 10:38 PM

By looking at the server logs that Justin showed me. It looks like something with the newreply php script went out to lunch and caused cpu usage on the servers that the hosting admins do not like at all. So all in all, I think it was just some freak occurance of some bug in the php code that just needed to be restarted. Or if you want an easier answer, just blame it on kasey!

Savage_Messiah 05-07-2006 12:08 AM

 I gon dun it

Koll 05-07-2006 06:57 AM

Colo FTW

Tru2Chevy 05-08-2006 12:05 PM

Garrett was on the money with that one. It was actually the vBulletin software itself that caused the overload (we basically accounted for more than 10% of the CPU load of the server we are on). While our account did cause an issue with the server, I still do not like the way it was handled by Canaca, and will be switching too a new hosting provider before the end of July.
