LT1 guys...

any of you guys pass the sniffer w/o cats?

V 05-07-2006 12:34 AM

i dont think its easy to do, maybe with a lot of tuning, but itd still be rough.

...as for my LT1 engine('96), im running no cats, but i'm automatically emissions exempt. QQ FTW

If you had OBD2 it'd be easy... but seeing as you don't... good luck!

they dont do sniffer tests with OBDII. They plug a computer into your car and check for codes. Deleting cats, and running O2 simms will work. Don't spread the word, trying to keep it hush hush... :)

yes, the 96 lt1 is in my '79 vette, when i finally get it on the road, itll be getting QQ plates.

Some gas stations will "Helen Keller" your sticker. Meaning, they will over look emissions, etc. They will usually just check to see if your lights, blinkers, horn, etc. work.

Or you can go to a junkyard, and cut the border around the white part of a good inspection sticker then replace the border on your inspection sticker. However, I DO NOT condone of this in anyway and cannot be held responsible for your actions.
