how to clean up taillights??
heya what works for polishing the taillight lens, ive tried plastic polish, reg polish, wax etc nothing seems to work.the best thing ive tried so far was a lil bit of armor all on a rag and wipe the taillights down, after that they shine for about a week, but they get dirty real fast, anyone know the right way to sand and polish the taillights?

I used Armor All Tirefoam on my old T/A honeycomb taillights. Worked great.

I just polish mine with Zaino when I am doing the whole car.

i use mothers chrome polish, i cleaned the parking lenses on my old 92 RS and they got like 7 shades clearer
u need to wash them with rubbing alcohol, then do like 5 coats of the polish, the more coats the better |
I can't attest to this personally but I saw a great set done like this. Wetsand the lights with some 800, 1200, 1500 paper. Then polish them out with either plastic or chrome polish. Then spray them with actual automotive clearcoat. A guy from the Delaware club had this done on Power Tour and his lights looked AWESOME. I have a spare set that I'm gonna try this on before the Nats.

try rubbing compound and a buffer if you can, otherwise a rag will work, just not as good, then finish with wax. I've done this and they came out good, but now I have the blackouts on so it doesnt matter that much lol
