Plan:

take the L98 out of the donor on the left, mate it with the 700R4 thats on the right. Swap the fuel tanks, rears and interiors. SO far, things are going smoothly .. just heat sucks....

yeah the heat sucked to day I was drenched in sweat in like 10 min, good luck!!

i assume hes swapping the fuel tank to get the intank pump and sending unit, its easier to swap the whole tanks than try pullign them apart and then reassembling them.

because the white car is a carb, and the L98 is going in that. SO i need a in sump electric pump, and lines and taking the tank out of the donor car seems to be the best route

y not just run a inline pump and never have to worry bout droppin the tanks ever?

And since im taking the 9 bolt from the car anyway, whats unbolting the two straps and dropping it.....

could do that, but I already have this. Its not a big deal for me if the pump dies to drop a tank.

in-line pumps are a waste, if theres an OEM solution, inline pumps are usually noisier and then you gotta do AN fittings due to the pressure. screw clamps wont cut it. When i did tpi in the monte, i got a GN tank and a v6 tbi monte sending unit and the tpi pump fit right on. If tim has a oem tank for tpi, why wouldnt he use it? its common sense.

yea ive reverse my thinking and gotten a little smarter since then......

Both motors pulled, both rears pulled, fuel tank from the 86 is pulled

gotta pull the tank and lines from the GTA and put them in the 86, then I can put the motor in, after I take off the oil cooler.

Then put the 9 bolt in the 86 (Which the posi is shot on it but ill get that rebuilt after i swap them), and put the 10 bolt in the GTA so it can roll out of my driveway.

After all that, then its tackling the interior. I would be done now but this weather is pissing me off. IF its not pouring rain witha thunderstorm, the temperature is set to HELL and i cant stand being outside more then a few before I get fed up........

dont forget the proportionign valve for the disc rear brakes. if you were closer, id offer to come and help.

Yeah, the prop valve is coming with it too.

Taking apart the burgundy 87 GTA and building the white 86 TA.
