2 computers FTW
i have a prob on my other comp, when it boots up and you log onto a user (XP) the desktop background comes up and nothing else, no start menu, no icons, ctrl-alt-delete doesnt even do anything...so try booting in safe mode right?...wrong, it wont even boot in safe mode....i'd give you more info but thats as far as i can get, anyone have any ideas?
edit: comp worked fine no more than 2 days ago (last time someone used it) and there were no new programs installed/anything downloaded |
try a system restore.if that dosent work just do an install ontop of the exsisting install, and u wont lose ur files
|
system restore isnt working
restoring to 'last good configuration' doesnt work booting with the cd in doesnt work, gives me the same problems |
best buy $329 home system ftw :D

:werd: or you could get justin to move the files to another partition/harddrive and then wipe the drive with windows on it..

my pops got it fixed somehow, just need to recover some stuff for it to be back to normal |
sounds like u had a virus and it was booting in a type of safe mode. u can still do stuff its just that explorer dosent load. you have to use task manager to start any programs. but since its fixed it dosent really matter now
