Will an LS2 intake bolt up.....
 

to a stock LS1? If not what changes would be necessary? Valley cover? TB?

Seems like alot of guys who try to run the fast 90/90 combo on stock or near LS1's don't have really great results (from ls1tech anyway), they loose too much torque.

The LS2 intakes are much cheaper than and LS6 intake, but do they work?

I believe they use a different fuel rail & the TB bolt pattern is different if i remember correctly.

yea i believe bill is correct i am almost positive the tb bolt pattern is different.

that probably explains why they are cheaper than the ls6 jobs, I wonder if they would even clear the hood or a strut tower brace???

ls1/ls6 TBs are 3 bolt, ls2 are 4 bolt. other than that and the fuel rail, they should bolt up, I will be looking into it as a future upgrade myself in order to get a 90/90mm combo since the FAST are pretty expensive. as far as other changes needed im still tryign to find out myself.

If you have a near stock engine either would be a waste of time. Get the LS6 manifold unless you are planning to do heads or increase cubes. The loss in low end will hurt you with a stock engine. On mine even when I did the heads the 90 was too much for it. Iswitched to the 78 and lost about 9 peak HP but gained 21 Ft/Lbs of torque and it came in 1100 RPM sooner. If you aren't making big power (I'd venture 500+ to the wheels) the 90 isn't worth it in any form. The reason it works well on the LS2 is the extra displacement.
