That one is on my short list. For a 60g, at that price that one is real nice. The is an 80g at Sam's that has my interest at the moment.

One of them is on my list of things to get after the new garage is built.

ghettosuperstar 07-22-2006 11:18 PM

Wow. Thats a great purchace. I hope to get a compressor of somekind soon.

V 07-22-2006 11:20 PM

haha yeah the garage is a little cleaner to make working on the SS a little easier. Oh, the compressor normally lists for around $430, but was on clearance for $240.35. I couldnt pass that deal up. I thought it was a clearance of the display model, but then they took down a brand new one off the top shelf.

WayFast84 07-23-2006 09:42 AM

Paul what store????

What model is that? The one I looked at there is $500:
MAX PSI: 135, TANK: 60G, STAGES: 1
SCFM: PSI/40: 15.0, PSI/90: 13.3
PUMP: CAST IRON, MOTOR RPM: 3450

V 07-23-2006 11:57 AM

its the model right below that i believe, you were looking at the HD model, which was for sale for $397

Mine is:
Max psi 135 Tank 60G, Stages 1
SCFM: 12.2 at 40psi, 10.8 at 90psi
Pump: cast iron

Matt, Lowes Home Improvement, but remember you need a 220v power line for it, It will not work with a normal 120v outlet.

yeah i have a 2 post lift as well, sitting in my other garage, i gotta look into the thickness of my current floor but most likely i'll have to cut and pour a thicker footing.

Their site is still showing full price. I might have to drop into the store again.

BonzoHansen 07-24-2006 06:32 PM

well, its now finally all installed, wired, and working. I just finished up wiring it at the main box this morning(i held off till i got back from my sis's wedding in detroit) I had ran the wiring and did all the connections in the garage last week. After talking to an electrician and a general contractor, i went with 8/2 wiring from the box to a single surface mount recepticle in the garage and then a section of 8/2 to the compressor itself. When i install my lift, i'll just run 8/2 from that to the outlet and use another plug. Since the lift will be used rarely, i'll just unplug the compressor when i need it. After it was all wired, i turned it on and it ran great, filled the 60gal tank to 135psi in under 10 min. and after fixing a few leaks in the lines I am now set. Later today or tomorrow, i'll change the valve springs on my motor, lol. heres a pic of it setup, now i just gotta clean up/setup around it....

Cool! Just think of the cars you'll be able to take apart now! And all the free time you'll have since you won't be using hand tools!
