Any free programs....

...that allow you to password protect and folder in XP?

I see one with trials but I don't want to pay 40 bucks for one.

Thanks!

I found one but I need a program that will allow the folder to be written to but not have things deleted.

Basically my AIM logs conversations and I'm trying to snag someone in a lie. The one I have locks the current folder but anything else written to it is unprotected.

Cant u change the destination folder the logs are written to? Just hide it somewhere in the many windows folders

Yeah I could but a simple search would bring those logs up, not to mention you can delete them within AIM

I dont think it would be possible... cuz AIM and your locked folder would just conflict... might make AIM crash... id say go with a keylogger if you really want indepth detail on whoever you wanna catch in a lie (which I assume would be someone using the same computer). This way, everything that is typed in and out of AIM is logged. From what I remember a cpl years ago, you can just set it up, start the keylogging, and come right back re-read everything in a log file. In my experiences, I thought someone was going on MY computer when I was at work, and I set one up, but the little bastard was telling the truth in not going on... but it shows every key touched on the computer, backspaces i think were included, that would be the hard part when sifting thru the logs tho. Ill see what I can find for ya in my travels thru the interweb.

the only one I've ever used was magic folders but after 30 day trial you need to buy it but I'm not sure the cost.
