Just drove an SUV that saw 29 mpg

Yup... pretty cool!
6,400 miles on it... so it is beat to hell for its entire life

2007 ML320CDI (diesel)
It will be out in October.... but I went for a spin in it today.

215 HP at 3,800 rpm's
398 TQ from 1,600 to 2,800 rpm's

It's 95 degree's here but the "Really feels like" temp is 104 now.
I only drove it for 20 min.... and saw 29.2 mpg on the highway and 27.1 mpg around town.

I would expect over 30 mpg with a nice long drive. I'm not an SUV person because they (mostly) get sh*tty gas mileage..... but this one was nice!

And... I love having 398 TQ just a bit over idle

See I told you I saw it! :)

Is that your pep car for the week? Or you just driving it for the hell of it?

12secondv6 08-03-2006 02:03 PM

Not for the week :(

Just snuck it out for a bit ;)

I have never texted him (not he text me) in the car or at the house when we are both there. We do message each other over IM, but it's usually stupid stuff, like just a smiley, or a link to something.

Decent power.... I love the torque.

price is a smidge more than the gas version.

How's the noise level of the diesel engine compared to other diesels (and I'm talking about the noise with the windows open)? I can't stand the amount of noise some of the Chevy, Ford and Dodge trucks make.
