600cc shifter kart coming together in the near future

ok, my best friend had a 2002 yamaha R6, it had some minor work done to it. It ran low 10 second 1/4 miles. a few months ago he let his friend take it for a spin and a car hit him. frriend is walking again but the bike was trashed. except for the motor & trans and a few other parts. so today we cut the frame up and got the motor out of it and got it started up!! we dont want to let it go to waste, so we want to make a shifter kart. Thinking of suspension and stuff if at all possible, so we will be looking around for parts.

if anyone has a kart that they are getting rid of, send me some pics. thanks!

i would suggest getting in touch with lawrence engineering in trenton about a race cart chassis and then modifying it to hold the motor properly. or jsut keep an eye on hte classifieds at www.southjerseydirtracing.com sometimes slingshot and racing carts come up for sale there.
