what should I do?

Well i recently got a BIG check from work, and have been pulling money in left and right from mowing lawns and babysitting. Im building up a nice bank!! should I return my nitrous and put the money in the bank? or keep it for the car and then in a few years get a bigger and better kit? Im not trying to buy any more parts for my car just trying to do lots of weight reduction. and if I did return my nitrous id get about $300 back from it. Do you think a 92k and 22 year old motor could even handle it?

Savage_Messiah 08-06-2006 10:36 PM

return the nitrous, put all the money into the bank, let it sit there and collect interest

Ian 08-06-2006 11:31 PM

:stupid:

WayFast84 08-06-2006 11:38 PM

thats what I thought I should do and will do. now the only thing left I gotta do is finish the cam install!!! and then get her running

79CamaroDiva 08-06-2006 11:45 PM

while your spending time on the intraweb, start looking at the stock market... learn about it and learn it well. learn other ways to invest your money as well.. street cars are NOT an investment, we will never EVER get back what we put into them, let alone more. While your car is sitting in the driveway until you can drive it, let your money sit somewhere earning interest and/or increasing in value so that when the time comes you can do what you want with it.

79CamaroDiva 08-07-2006 12:29 AM

well, do what you want... but it doesnt look good to future employers for getting fired for dishonesty.. they'll look for references.

WayFast84 08-07-2006 12:35 AM

it says my hours I worked and everything matches up, I guess it was a roll over from last check, ill ask them next week when i go back

Melissa has the right idea here- all of the money that you ACTUALLY earn- (not that you accidentally receive) you should put into the bank at 14. I know people are usually not that smart- and I didn't even have my first job until I was 17- but, if you save some money, later on when ur 20-21 you can invest in different things and start making some stuff. I won't get into it here, but working on Wall Street provides you a TON of good insight into what/how to invest- if ya ever want to talk about it, let me know. I am by no means an expert, but I do know quite a bit about investing now.

So yeah... dude, for what it's worth my advice in all seriousness would be this- ENJOY BEING 14!!! trust me- when you're in the real world and you have to wake up at 4:20 every morning- you're going to wish you were 14 again with no worries and no cares. So enjoy it while you have it. You have PLENTY of time to gather money for cars- heck, when I was 14 I had a freaking BIKE and I thought I was pimp! :-P (I put a playing card in the spokes for that motorcycle feeling!) :)

I dont want to put any more money into it any more, I just want to get it runing and then get the enterior looking nice, and then fix a few cosmetic problems.

I was looking on ebay for 84 trans ams and came across a trans and it said the retail value was 8 g's so i went on that site and checked mine

http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...&o=35539&da=-1

I know thats high retail BUT i think i can get that because my trains is rebuilt and have new paint with less then 200 miles on both. but Of coarse its not for sale till I at least drive it around for a few months and make it worth while.
