turtle wax ice is the biggest pos ever made for the detailing world.

Tsar 08-21-2006 07:23 PM

um...either you really suck at detailing or macco paint jobs suck really bad  there's like no reflection in the car at all, in addition to blurriness.

WayFast84 08-21-2006 07:32 PM

Their paint jobs are ****, I cant wait to do it over in a year or two! the only real places you can see gloss are hood and roof...

IROCdan330 08-21-2006 08:03 PM

i used ice on my car...i was actually really impressed with it...but, my car had a lot of reflection when i was done...

WayFast84 08-21-2006 08:32 PM

BTW my car has an engine its just so light ;)

enRo 08-21-2006 10:14 PM

Umm... looks like every other pic you post.. same car, same color, same wheels, same background in the same exact parking spot.... i dont get it

Maaco FTL

WayFast84 08-21-2006 10:17 PM

yeah its cause I cant drive it to kick ass places and take pics with it. and it doesnt run.

After I get my new motor, expect it to be moved around in the drive way.

and after I get ALL of my performance mods done and the car runs a good number(in a few years) ill repaint her my self silver. with t/a fenders

OneFast383 08-22-2006 08:27 AM

i had my 84 z28 painted viper red at maaco and it came out really good... nothing like that.... .mine even came with a 3yr gloss warranty on it

I like the wheels Matt, but the color of the car makes it really hard to see any real shine.

Secondly, whats with that elevated ride height? Those are 16" wheels - why so much gap in the wheel wells? Have you considered lowering springs?

He's got the motor apart, and the top end of a sbc weighs down the nose a good deal. I have a decent amount of gap in the wheel wells, and that's with eibach pro-kit springs installed. But I have aluminum heads, manual steering, etc, so there is less weight on the nose.

Thanks for the compliments

The wheels were TONS OF WORK!! I must have spent nearly ten hours on each wheel to get them to look how they do now, ask Paul(smoking ss) how bad the wheels were, he sold them to me..

I got the stock intake on though

Things that are off-
Headers
Carb
valve covers
Fan-through timing chain
Rad.

I also only have the back seats in the car, and the interior is in my garage.

Maacos can do a half decent job if you pay them for it. Not to mention that the quality of the staff has a lot to do with it. If you get a $199 paint job done by guys with little or no formal training, what do you expect?

Wayfast, it looks good. Just a suggestion- get the lighting in your pics right and it will look even better :D

WayFast84 08-24-2006 04:35 PM

how do I figure out the lighting? the sun is the light>...

Yea, but in a lot of your pics it's half in the shade. That really breaks up the picture. If the paint is good, get it out in the sun....

- Justin

WayFast84 08-24-2006 06:33 PM

if I get it outa the shade its goin in the street

and I cant do that because I live at the bottom of a hill and for sure itll get hit

The 4x4 comment is usually referring to excessive gap between your tire and wheel well, not the overall height of the car.

WayFast84 08-29-2006 02:12 PM

I know but thats pretty damn high.. its getting close to melisas 79...

Tru2Chevy 08-29-2006 02:13 PM

What part of the car is up to your waist?

- Justin

WayFast84 08-29-2006 02:33 PM
