New JL sound system (pics)
Well I decided it was time to get a sound system back so I bought up some parts on ebay and got the rest done at a local shop.
For a headunit I went with an alpine 9833 (23 watts RMS, bypassed monsoon amp) I got a brand new 10w3v3. To JL guys this means something, brand new woofer model for 2006. I had 3v2's in my old red firebird and I'm VERY happy with the way these v3's hit. For an amp I obviously went with JL again, and got a mono 250 watt amp. headunit cost me 135 I paid 900 for the box, sub, amp, all the wires, installation, and tax. So I think I made out pretty well so for a 1,000 dollar sound system i'm ~very~ happy. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y26...x/P0004440.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y26...x/P0004441.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y26...x/P0004443.jpg |
Looks good man. Still stock speakers besides the sub in the hatch?

yeah, with the monsoon gone they actually sound decent!

I wanted to make a sub box like that and shove the 10" spare i got in it. I got fosgate 6.75 componets in the front, stock 6.5 subs on the side, and cerwin vega 5.25 componets in the rear panels. sounds good for how much i drive the car.
Clean installation on yours.. Btw, what are the hooks for on the back shelf behind the seats ... |
