Sad days ahead...

My father in law is in the hospital, and he is basically on his last legs. The poor guy has more things wrong with him then are right with him, so it is just a matter of time. At least he lived a full life of 89 years.
But what really gets me is how I've seen bad stuff in my life happen on "special" days. My mother died on New Years Day, my father in law looks like he may die on Labor Day, and I was married on Sept 11, 1998; just a few years before the terrorists took out the World Trade Center. Man, I wish I could have a different calender or sumthin'!

Bob, very sorry to hear. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts through out this holiday weekend.

We just went through the same thing with my uncle. They actually sent him back home one day saying he was fine and he couldn't even get up the steps into his house. He got moved bewteen 3 hospitals in less than a week and then passed away just as he got closest to home. Meanwhile, my grandmother(his mother) turned 96 two weeks ago! Go figure. That is the worst situation though, when he/she is sick and you know it's a matter of time. Hang in there.
