58mm Throttle Bodies

On my new set-up my intake already has a ported throttle body opening for 58mm. I figured that with my cam as well it would require a little more air-flow then the stock throttle body could handle. My question is, should I upgrade to a 58mm? Does anyone recommend a certain brand?

I already know my price range is around 300-500 for a decent one. The car will see nitrous and possibly forced induction.

i'd say yes, with a bigger cam and intake its logical that the motor will need more air. you dont NEED it, but it would probably open things up on the top end.

the bigger throttle body will help espically if you are going to use forced induction

No, do not go with a 58MM TB unless you are 100% sure you need it ( stroker, forced induction, 6500+ RPMs). The 58 is too big and can actually hurt both low end performance and ET. A 52MM TB would be a better option on a NA, 350 or 355 CI motor.

My cam/head motor made 329 RWHP and ran 13.0, I switched to a 58MM and lost 2 tenths, put the 52 back on and was right back at 13.0!

52 is fine until you are around 450ish hp.
