since i didnt get to add it to the other thread.. and was asked a legitimate question, to which john replied that last weekend at atco cost me $700, that was just entry fees, not including fuel..

Methanol = roughly $3.00/gallon
1 run = 3 gallons = $9 in methanol
estimate 15-20 runs at a 3 day race = $135-$180 in alcohol alone
the gas i warm up on is $7.00/gallon, about 5 gallons per weekend = $35
so, about $215 in fuel on top of the $700 entry fees...

moral: ya gotta have deep pockets. and lose some to try to win some. that is all.
