Which u-joint girdles?
 
Which ones would work with a ls1 rear end, i know ill have to do some drilling but thats not big deal.

Most of those look like they are for a 1350 yoke, which is not stock. Stock is 1310 IIRC. So they probably won't fit around the u-joint cups.

As far as drilling, don't even think about drilling out the holes on your stock yoke.

I wouldn't touch a stock yoke with a drill, just my .02. use your stockers, there is nothing wrong with them.

i have the 1350 u joint on my moser rear, i didnt have to drill for the moroso caps. not saying your rear may not require any drilling.

stockers will be fine. no need to go messing with the yoke for no performance or safety advantage.
