http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...arm_mount1.jpg (ill get a bigger pic of this tomorrow!) itll be welded to this- http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...iver/REAR1.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...er/9incher.jpg is it possible? my welding skills are limited and im def not up to this task if anyone is interested, let me know how much it might be to do that. i still need to buy an upgraded trq arm and hardware for it too |
I dont understand what that thing is or where on the rear housing/third member it would get welded.
*edit* I see the ford product is leaking already  |
that bracket is meant to replace the portion of the torque arm that is atached to the rear.
you may be better sevred to see what strange or currie use for torque arm bracekts and see if you can fab something off one of them. |
I'm acutally a pretty decent welder (if I do say so myself) but unfortutely I have jack **** for time these days.
But let me ask you this- are you welding steel to steel or are you welding steel to cast iron? If the answer is the latter, you need to have a pro do it. Welding steel to cast iron requires special techniques and this is a critical part. You CAN weld steel to CI if you preheat the iron properly and use the correct welding equipment, but personally I wouldn't chance it on a torque arm. Something like axle tubes, no problem. |
