hi the 55 chevy i have is impossable to see the casting # so i took a picture and still cant really see it but if anyone has a BBC block site link that might help with what i can see, maybe i can guess year size ECT -- i would appre any help thanks -- jz

i took 17 pictures that is the best angle i could get, fire wall on a 55 is different and motor was set back -- the camara is being held against fire wall and no way to get your eyes or head in any way to see around it --

if thats the number awesome

what i do sometimes to get a number like that, IF i can touch it, i take a clean peice of paper and lay it on top, then just use you finger to push down and make an impressions , go back and forth a few times, keepign the paper still. no need for using a pencil, the oil/dirt is usually enough to leave a readable mark on the reverse side.

It probably has 7.4 cast into it as well.
