Got my new truck PICS!!!

I picked up my "new" truck today. It's a 1996 GMC Suburban 2500. It's got a 454, 4L80E tranny and 4WD. Power everything all option except leather. It's even got a tow package. I'm going to tune her up this week. It is a monster. I'm thinking about some custom plates saying "454 TANK". Now i have a nice tow rig if anybody needs something hauled. I'll try to get pics up tommorrow.

35s are useless on a suburban...rears still hang down too low and its too heavy....need 38s on one to do some real wheelin. its kinda like the smacked asses that think thier H2 is unstoppable cuz its stock w/ 35s but they get stuck in everything cuz the rears and the weight.

Unfortunately 8 lug wheels are harder to find at a decent price. I'm shooting for this sorta look when i'm done with her.

unfortunately thats not all that true....ill be picking up a set of wheels brand new (for the Ram) for $400 + shipping. Granted its not a rather "name" brand but they are still good wheels, and cheap. I know of someone who owns a set like I will be getting and they are GREAT quality.

bad64chevelle 01-11-2007 12:42 PM

Also, look at Jimmyboys truck, it has some wheels on it (granted they are 6 lug) but they are amazing wheels and I can get a pair like his in 8 lug for about the same price as the other wheels.

I'm looking for a set of 22" wheels for the tank.

bad64chevelle 01-11-2007 12:47 PM

hmmm...there may lie your problem, but who knows maybe a set of 22s can be had for like 800 or so, i really dont know. The wheels im looking at are 16s and come up to 18s i believe.

curt86iroc 01-12-2007 05:44 PM

umm, you need to lift it, not drop it.....

maroman88 01-12-2007 06:13 PM

i like suburbans dropped, anything smaller can go either way

I'm not really into the off road thing. I like more of the "sport truck" theme. Nothing beats a sleek smooth truck, blacked out with a touch of chrome.

Knipps 01-13-2007 01:25 AM

before i found my 'maro i was gonna grab an exploder and drop it..

I think they are too big to get lifted. I'm not slamming it maybe just a 4-6" drop.

JL8Jeff 01-13-2007 09:54 AM

That's not a truck, it's a station wagon!
