huh.. F7 was an alco unit, I never knew alco units were supercharged, you learn some useless piece of info every day i guess. I see that junk yard on my way to ATCO dragway, there are loccomotives in there, ya know.. incase anyone was jonsein to pick up a train for the back yard layout i guess. I see planes too, now thats a junkyard! |
Well if he got it out of an EMD unit, which is more then likely seeing asthey were the cream of the crop till 1983 when GE took over the top spot. and what road is that on? id loveto go chack that out.
it is on jackson or jacksonville road, same road atco is on. it is jsut a little south of the track property, maybe a mile or so.
Ya i see that junkyard all the time, ive always wanted to talk a walk through it.
I asked my uncle, he used to work for conrail, F3's, F7's, E8's E'9's FL-9's etc all built by GM not alco, but he doesnt remember them being supercharged, but still that blower came off something pretty big
Hmmmm...well i think then we need to go to that junkyard, look at the trains till we find a s/c and find out what its in.....then find out what to put it in :)
