i say, if you just have a lightly modded 305 tpi, you'll probably lose some power, aside from smelling funny ;)

.....not to mention your car will sound horrible and everyone will point and laugh as you drive by. If you want a loud car make horsepower don't subtract exhaust. Being loud gets old quick and at the end of the day you still have a 305.

okay well my car dont sound like **** and i have already had it out and people do liek the way it sounds.....i had put them on before i new i would loose power so know i am wating for my slp to come in...

strait pipes sound terrible to me, Im not into loud exausts either, but here is my 305 runing with open shortys, it sounds like ass, hope fully when my new motor is up ill have a vid with open shortys out side the garage, then open long tubes, then true duals, cause im po'

Your camera is why that vid sounds like ass... it can't pick up the right tones. I've had the same problem.

well i have stock manafolds and i have 2 inch pipe ran half way back and tahts it and it sounds good...

lol, it sounded like ass in person too, in the garage, i had a video on my old freinds phone and it sounded awsome, but then when he sent it to my computer it sounded like ****..

i hopr your exhaust is bigger than 2 inch bro. you should really jsut call up jegs and have them send out a 3inch system from any of the polular brands. something for the single 3inch cat cars will wake up the tone and a little bit of power from the car.
no need to get one of theexpensive systmes either, just grab one with 3 inch, mandrel bent tube and a muffler that prduces the tone you like. personally i recomend magnaflow for good fit and finish and a nice tone and the hooker cat back which costs a little less.

Get a 3 inch catback. you said you liked flowmasters in one of your threads so get one. Ill sell you hedman headers,2 1/2 y pipe and a 2 1/2 dynomax catback, but its gotta be after i get my car runing and get reinspected :lol:

Kid, your best bet (as stated) is to pick up a system from Jeg's like NJSPEEDER said. It will sound good and loud when you want it to with none of the annoying tones.

get a borla, verry expensive but you can adjust the performance/loudness

okay well first off i like my car with striaght pipes and i went out too night and so does every one else...and yeah tahts all i got a a 2inch...and for you othyer people that want me too buy an exhaust how about you guys buy it for me and wayfast84 i would get a flowmaster set up but geuss what they dont have the kind taht i like...and striaght pipes sound good..too me they dont have too to u as long as its me driving it and its my car thats what matters if i dont like it then ill change it...why people care so much i dont know all i asked is if striaght pipe hurts the hp and tq...some of you answered me thank you for answering me...for others ima sorry that your cars sounded like **** when you had striaght pipes on it......

Dude your a complete retard..Coming from me thats even worse then a normal person. You say everyone loved it, but it was what your 3 freinds at who drive v6 mustangs? cmon first you say your gonna do loud mouth, then flowmaster and now you have "2 inch straight pipes".

You ask why people care so much? Its because they offer their opinion to make yours, and our cars apear better, and to be faster. Im pretty sure almost all the guys on here that know their ****, will agree, a loud car doesnt make a fast car, and how much noise your car makes doesnt make it sound good, how your car will get a unique and nice sound depending on the muffler you choose. If you dont have an exaust you will just sound like an old beat up farm truck, ask me how I know.

hey wayfast and no they were not my friends i didnt even ****ing know them until last night so now what u got too say and im not ****ing stupid..and if u doint ****ing like it u can stay the hell out of my treads....
and i never said it would make my car fast or anything all i asked was if it would HURT mu hp and tq..some of the guys answered yes it would did you no you said it would sound like ass well so does your moth but no one says anything......
