New Oil Dipstick Problems

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...view=1&N=700+0

I got this a cpl days ago since my stock one is bent up to the point where i had to use zipties to hold it in place rather than using the bolt... I got this thing, its for "LS based engines" 97-04 ... and its about 8 inches short  I went to put it in today and I got denied. I would have to reach down between header pipes and struggle to get the dipstick out. Anybody else have this problem?

Well, I sent "Lokar" an email. I got a response immediately:

I was curious if its normal that the dipstick + tube is about 8 inches shorter than the stock one, which requires me to have to reach down in between header pipes to pull the dipstick out. The product is of excellent quality, but I want to make sure that I got the right product. The dipstick is as straight as I could possibly get it with barely any bends. Thanks in advance!

noah, i can give you my old dipstick, the opening is a little bent up and you gotta pull it mroe than usual, but along the length itself is fine, and with some little work you can round out the opening. let me know
