Ill find out tonight for ya.

alamantia 01-29-2007 03:57 PM

thanks man, if it is, my next questions I guess would be if you know what type of posi, eaton? if it even works, how many spines, how much and most importantly... would you mind parting with it as you wouldnt be able to move the car around with no carrier unless you had a fork lift

For what it's worth:

If it is a posi, it should be a clutch style 28 spline unit. He should also check the rear axle ratio while he's under there to make sure it's a 3 series carrier (unless you want to run 2.56 or 2.41 gears). If the ratio is 2.73 or above it's a 3 series.

alamantia 01-29-2007 05:41 PM

yeah, i actualy was aware of that, i just know if I can get a good used one there are guys on ebay with a lot of them that may be willing to trade if they need what i have, so, because i need a 30 spine maybe i could trade for one, thats all i was thinking, see, i have too many projects going on and im in the middle of closing on a house and i cant justify spending like $400 on a new one for my beater truck

98tadriver 01-30-2007 03:32 PM

negative on the posi my friend.
