local junkyards

where is a junkyard in the northern area, that would have a 98+ 4th gen?

Iroc-z86 02-01-2007 08:22 PM

uh there is one on 46 west called pine something, its near wayne just off of 80.

Last time i was there they had a smashed 2000 camaro. Didnt really look too much cause i have a third gen, i think it had an engine... but it was hit pretty bad in the front.

V 02-01-2007 08:32 PM

Paul, if you go out to GI Salvage, shoot me a PM. I'd be up for taking a ride out there, I wanna look for good front fenderwells for my Monte.

GI never has 4th gen stuff.

If anyones interested, Ted & I are makinig a trip Saturday morning around 10. I'm driving my pick-up so if anyone wants to tag along they are more then welcome to! (not sure if anyone wants to sit in the little jump seats though)

You guys are crazier than me. It's supposed to be like 20* on Saturday morning, and 20mph winds. I'd go if it was warmer, but I'm getting too old to play in the cold! :grampsch:

maroman88 02-02-2007 01:21 PM

i was at GI maybe 2 weeks ago, they had two 3rd gen birds, both base models, one was totaly stripped n one was untouched (till i got to it). two 3rd gen camaros, both pretty well picked over. no 4th gens at all.

steve, i believe they had a Gbody regal or sumthin like that u could get fenderwells off of

V 02-02-2007 02:29 PM

Savage_Messiah 02-02-2007 04:54 PM

If you guys are gonan go to GI... let me know... do they have any early 90s w-bodies??

ar0ck 02-02-2007 06:08 PM

They might, Kasey give us a call, you can meet at my house and join Ted & I. We're gonna leave the area around 10.

The Fixer 02-02-2007 06:27 PM

GI usually has a good selection of W-cars. They made millions of 'em, so a bunch have found their way into the boneyards now.

Mike, thanx for the info about the Regal; too bad they're different than the Monte/Malibu fenderwells. I gotta go out there in the springtime.

Happy shopping in the great swamp tomorrow guys, wear boots!

nj85z28 02-02-2007 08:28 PM

steve, last time i went to GI they had 1 monte carlo and it was a well combed through 4.3 liter car. that was not too long ago when i was looking for the tank. no malibu's or anything. they barely had any third gens for whoever was asking.

maroman88 02-05-2007 08:53 AM

thye had quite the selection of early wbody GP's

o well steve lol i figured it was the same
