some one told me...you can't convert a 10 bolt chevy rear to posi...but i'm pretty sure i've seen it done...can some one tell me if i'm nuts or it can be done

Umm, smack that person upside the head.

Many 10 bolt rears came with a posi differential from the factory, and it's quite simple to add one to an open rear...

posi slip.. lol

My immediate reaction was "Why the F not?"

AFAIK, pretty much every rear end ever produced by GM had or has a limited slip unit that could be installed in it.

I bet that guy has a "3/4 race cam".

the question is.....why. you can find people selling their 10bolts cheap as hell when they upgrade, and you will be able to upgrade to rear disk brakes at the same time.
