alamantia 02-12-2007 11:34 AM

Z28Justin 02-12-2007 11:36 AM

bad64chevelle 02-12-2007 11:37 AM

I did the 3:73s in my 94Z and it was the best modification I had done.

alamantia 02-12-2007 11:38 AM

new era

everytime i go on LS1tech.com it seems like there are 100 ORY w. Cutouts for sale, i think everyone gets sick of them after only a few weeks/months. It aint gonna make your car any faster, 373's or 3.90's will. Send your PCM out for a spedo recaibration and get a tune with it, (160 stat) your talkin maybe a full second at the track depending on your current gears

BonzoHansen 02-12-2007 12:30 PM

Gears >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> cut outs.

WildBillyT 02-12-2007 12:31 PM

Gears.

NAWWWZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

NJSPEEDER 02-12-2007 03:20 PM

gears are the best bang for the buck, 4.10's would be optimal and despite popular myth there is not much of an effect on gas mileage. well, there is around town cause it is hard to keep your foot out of it when the car gets off the line so much better. lol highway mileage will stay about the same, a few people have even picked up slightly after gear swaps.

id suggest gears too, since your auto, 3.73 should be fine.

58mm would require porting the intake i believe

btw i edited this post a lot, lol. i at first thought you had an LS1 car...then i actually looked at your avatar....

jimmyboy8301 02-12-2007 04:06 PM

gears, ya heard?!

Rich189 02-12-2007 04:34 PM

gears or a stall

chemicalstylez 02-12-2007 04:44 PM

gears FTW

Teds89IROC 02-12-2007 04:46 PM

gears..I dunno what gears you have but my IROC had 2.77's and when I went to 3.42's it REALLY woke the car up!

Z28Justin 02-12-2007 04:47 PM

ok looks like gears is gonna be and i think ill go with 3.90's thanks. but just wounderin any one actully see a differnce with a larger throttle body or roller rockers on a mostly stock motor?

ar0ck 02-12-2007 05:56 PM

Defenitly gears, the 58mm throttle body is useless on a stock motor.

if you go with higher ratio roller rockers you wil see a reasonable gain, especially with tuning. itis sort of a band aid method for notinstalling a larger cam, but the $$$ per HP is very much in favor of the rockers unless you have other engine work planned in the near future.

good luck with it :)
