I've used it to pull the engine/tranny, support the subframe while removing, move around the rear axle after removing it, and even to lift the doors off my car. I work at my shop alone, so I need an extra hand. It has worked flawlessly.

Anyone interested should take advantage of this coupon!

looks like the one i got from R&S strauss a few years ago...its all good i picked up a 2 ton one for $130 the last time I went there to replace my old one...hoists arent horribly expensive.

A few yeras ago I paid $149 for mine from that travelling tool show that drops anchor in Lawrenceville a few times a year. Got a tilter with it too. That tilter is great.

Nice deal, but what's the 'preferred customer' part all about?

WayFast84 04-12-2007 02:20 PM

I have one of those cheapie Harbor Freight hoists and it works fine EXCEPT it's not long enough to pull/install JUST the engine with the front bumper still on. I suppose you could try from the side though...

It works fine pulling/installing both engine & trans at the same time though 8-)
