Did you know the state of New Jersey hands out "stickers" for free?

All you have to do is drive your properly maintained car to one of their "stores" and they will put one on your windshield at NO COST TO YOU... :P

"at no cost to you" that reminds me of the scooter store commercials for the elderly challenged lol and I only know of them because I watch the price is right if I'm home at that time

Have you tried going through DMV inspection yet? Headers and catted y-pipe should allow you to pass unless the inspectors realize the cats are relocated.

you forget that once you go through public and fail, good luck finding a private shop to take you

You get 3 tries at DMV.

It's not that, it's that your VIN is in the system and if a cop did look up your sticker, he'd be able to see what you failed for and then check that. If it's still on/off your car, then that shop can get their inspection station shut down and get a hefty fine

This is what the owner of the shop I go to for things like tires, front suspension and anything else I can't do in my driveway told me
