Repairing my headliner!
 

I wanted to start doing work to get things out of the way, so I went to HD and bought bondo home solutions fiberglass stuff to repair the headliner, I also bought CM super 80 glue, Does any one know if that glue is good?

how does that work? you either have enough power to take a picture, or you don't.

I was just going to order a new headliner, sunshades and sail panel covers...

What's with the fiberglass? Are you reattaching your headliner to the backing? If that's what you are trying to do I would probably use 3M's general trim adhesive.

No I was reading an article on tgo, and It said to repair the board with fiberglass so its strengthened and doesnt break, The sides where the seatbelt goes in where real bad some parts in the middle where kind of bad too, and the little parts are fizing where the previous owner stapled the headliner up.

Gotcha. If that's the case, looks like you are on your way. Just make sure that your resin mixture and the ambient temperature are correct for fiberglass work.

I just went down to check on it, and the strength of the board went from nearly snapping in half to being almost perfect. I think Im have to do some parts I missed. Whats the easiest way to clean the brush?

Clean it?

No way man, toss it and buy a new one. I think they are 99 cents each at Home Depot.

I went the lazy way and bought my headliner, with ABS plastic, from 1A Auto.

You know what Matt? I'm proud of you. Despite all the crap you take on this board (some of it deserved) you went out, read up on someone else's experience, and tried it yourself. How many people on this board just whip out the checkbook (or the parents checkbook) and just have someone else do it? Keep it up.

i try, I know its not going to be perfect, some of the edges of the fiber glass are up, so Im trying to find the sticky on tgo, between HW, studdying and the devils game to see what other people did with it.

I covered it. If I add, 20 for material,$5 for all the brushes I went through,$30 for the resin and the sheets, I would not recommend doing this again. But I did what I did, and At least Ill have a headliner. and When the sheets fall down. Ill hopefully have enough $$ for an abs headliner.
