Team F-150: Cool or Not Cool?

Who thinks it was wrong of them to rat out teams rice and lotus? I wouldn't have done it, not because I'm endorsing breaking the rules, but because.... they were doing fine anyways!!! If you are doing good without rattin others out, then why alienate yourself from the entire rest of the group? Even if you base their actions on "rules are rules," there is still strategy involved.

sbcpower 04-17-2007 11:56 PM

I would have done it, I don't like either Honda or Lotus. I don't mind Honda ALL that much, but I can't stand those tools in the Lotus. Rules are rules, if they don't want to follow the rules and speed, then F-150 should be allowed to run that celica powered go cart off the road. These tools are making me dislike the Elise despite what a really cool car it is. And to be fair, and not make it seem like I'm all for domestic teams and nothing else, I don't care for the Olds guys either; although they did show some class regarding how everyone bitching was BS. The **** talking is pointless, they can't touch each other, so it is easy to sit in a chair and say 'you won't do it' because hell I don't care how much I don't like a guy, it is not worth losing 200K over. I'm tired of seeing all that **** talking I'm interested in what Goldberg has to say next with the way he said 'i'll catch up with you in the morning' in a very unmannerly way. So maybe he'll come down on them we'll see. But all in all, I don't mind what team F-150 did, the only thing I think was stupid was trying to do the 1/4 mile run. Why bother? We all knew there was NO WAY the truck was running a better time than the Lotus, I don't understand why he didn't just say no thanks. Balls eventually turns into stupidity.
Go team Trans Am! haha

Although you make a good point on the strategy point, TRUST NO ONE!

chevylover5 04-18-2007 12:54 AM

i agree to disagree, i think that the f150 team are a bunch of narcks. i dont mind team honda tho, they were just chillin in the chairs talkin **** cause they knew that no one would do anything about it. thats y they called that fag in pink on team f150 the other guys bf. he knew that he was too much of a p*ssy to do nething. i missed the beginning so i missed y the f150 was messed up but i figure they deserbed it for being biotches. i dont like the lotus team either. i liked the bmw team, before they left. i thought trans am team would have been out a while ago and im surprised its still there. and i actually kind of like team honda. they need a team camaro tho :P and i think that team charger is bad ass but they prolly wont win in the end.

someGTOguy 04-18-2007 02:31 AM

unless they win a challenge, i think team charger will be eliminated next week.

and what WAS the last thing goldberg said before "ill catch up with you in the morning" that caused the oo and aaa and shocking music? i missed that.

ted gerlach 04-18-2007 05:09 AM

team f-150 has no friends now, if something happens to the truck they are on there own, not like when everyone helped push the other cars, that broke

DaSkinnyGuy 04-18-2007 05:52 AM

Well it was worth the watch

That's true for sure! I think only like one other team clapped for them when it was announced they were in 2nd place. I know they're not out there to make friends, but that's a helluva way to piss people off! Cause now every other team is going to steer clear of them to make sure they don't get narc'd on as well.

Agreed! I can't stand those guys at all.

someGTOguy 04-18-2007 10:58 AM

yea now i would be keeping an eye out for cops AND team f-150. seems like next week, alot of people are gunna screw up the look out for cops part, tho.

sbcpower 04-18-2007 11:04 AM

yea wtf??? On the preview it showed the cops pulling morgans dad out of the T/A. That's alot of time lost!!

BTW the f-150 was messed up because the driver was dumb enough to try and compete w/ the elise in the 'bullrun style' 1/4 mile run. The elise pulled an 11.XX, right there the guy in the f-150 should have said 'you got me' cut his losses and went out on the next leg. But instead he tried to run the 1/4 and stayed on the gas through the finish line and crashed through a cinderblock looking wall. He said it came down to balls, but like i said in another post...balls eventually becomes stupidity.

I'm gonna miss team chevy they were awesome entertainment value!
I think Charger is out on the next leg due to the fact its a long run and the 440 gets terrible gas mileage. But anything can happen right?

someGTOguy 04-18-2007 11:07 AM

lol driving thru the wall was definitly a dumb move on team f-150's part. i thought i saw their headlight and grill replaced when the night leg started... where did that come from?

sbcpower 04-18-2007 11:08 AM

something else I just remembered, the dirt roads on the preview? look for the Ford boys to have the advantage finally on that portion.

no clue, he totally pulled it out of his ass, I don't know many people that carry around spare headlight assemblies, maybe bulbs, but not an entire assembly lol and the grill??? hahaha

someGTOguy 04-18-2007 11:13 AM

oh yea man! i have a spare set in my trunk!

perhaps a reminder (as if we needed one) that it is still a tv show.

sbcpower 04-18-2007 11:20 AM

thinking of something else as we're talking about broken parts.....was anyone else going a little nuts when the mustang guys kept saying the broke a rod meaning a pushrod? If someone tells me they broke a rod shouldn't my first thought be a connecting rod? Especially considering 'pushrod' overhead valve motors are considered 'old' technology in todays DOHC world?

Yea, I know it's a TV show, and it's already over; but I can get just as into it as the two UFC shows just before and after it. Speaking of which did anyone see Matt Hughes DOMINATE that brazilian guy on Unleashed before Bullrun? That dude who never, ever, ever tapped out, Hughes had him in a NASTY arm bar and the guy didn't tap, I say f*** it break his arm, I guess he didn't need to once he flipped him over and Teed off on his dome haha.

he claimed at the end that he fixed it with electric tape... RIGHT

sbcpower 04-18-2007 11:25 AM

wasn't he referring to the electical tape from when he used it to hold the frayed wire ends to the bulb in the new housing?

Knipps 04-18-2007 11:31 AM

u do know that it airs at 9pm AND 10 pm, right?

iamsickofitall 04-18-2007 11:47 AM

they have a van following them with equipment in it. that's how everyone is able to make repairs and the TA can change wheels.

mike posts on ls1tech under the name malsop and divulged a little bit of information on how things are run on the show

Anti_Rice_Guy 04-18-2007 04:31 PM

Trying to keep up with all the conversations going on. Ok their was stuff that I see here I think I can clear up. The singing "comin around the mountain" gay but, they were singing it into their handhelds and once a song gets in your head then with no radio you sing it. Next the f-150 went 1st in the challenge the Lotus went 2nd then charger and chevy in that order. It was a different order in the show so when the truck had a dumbass attack! they stopped the challenge and moved the block wall back. The object was, to try and stop before the wall however they had it so close everyone would have hit it with some impact. The ford sustained heavy damage so they never really ran the last leg with us. (Technicality) the ford guys said that the stunt coordinator said it wouldnt do that much damage and he felt it was ok. I was yelling at them not to let him do it but they wanted the shot of the ford busting the wall down. All the while not thinking of AIR BAGS and RADIATORS so Jason was not thinking about anything but how bad ass he would look on TV! This got in his head and you saw the results. They allowed him to make the repairs because they did tell him nothing was going to happen (WHATEVER) So, I told Jason and Jake they should have been gone because that was unessesary and stupid. I also told them the alliance was still in place but use his head. I dont think they took that very well. The whole Dirty Rice/Paris thing they are really nice guys. They should have played it a whole lot more sincere. since they were carrying the flag for TEAM BMW. The comments does them in with the rest of the teams not in a million years that friggin HONDA beats any of the cars left (maybe the Olds) and he aligns himself with team Lotus and gets caught doing the wrong thing (speeding>>>> I should slap myself<<<<< Loved to have been able to speed) obeying the rules they could have gotten a whole lot farther. The next episode should be exceptionally interesting. The reason is the tension you could cut with a knife and pretty much all bets are off. Team Trans Am, well for us would have loved to have done all the challenges so far they are really fun (cant get the Drift of this) well you will next week when we get pulled over... Should be exciting! No I guarantee this will get exciting. I think I piss of the local law enforcement...
I copied that over from Mike (Morgans father on team T/A) on LS1tech where he has been making posts regarding already aired episodes...just if anyone was interested..

I was wondering why I never saw the truck actually on the road in the night leg.

WayFast84 04-18-2007 06:59 PM

speeding is speeding, it coulda been worse by being pulled over and everything, so the truck might have saved one of the other teams by getting pulled over later on...I wouldnt have lied about reporting it, i woulda been like "yep" then walked away.

as for the wall, ten bucks says if im on the show, and their is a wall to break through.. Ill be dumb enough to not stop..

SupermanX24 04-18-2007 07:26 PM

I gotta admit, busting through that wall was badass
