You can either get a reprogrammed prom to ignore vats or bypass vats with the right resistor.

hey i thought i had the same problem, until i checked my battery terminals, be sure that you have a good connection and its not loose. those side terminals suck. if all else fails and u need to know how to disable it, hit me up on aim

wht kind of resistor do i need what size

Check this link out... http://tpiparts.net/vehicle_anti_theft_system__vats_/
Basically you need to measure the resitance in the factory key and thats the resitor size you use..
If there is a problem with the vats module then it may not work. Its easy to get a new prom or burn one yourself to eliminate vats with the right equipment.

who can burn me a new chip

i took out the vats box and the car still dont start

The computer needs a signal from the vats box that says the correct key is in the ignition. Without the vats box you need a new prom that ignores the vats signal.

The car won't crank unless you either have the vats system complete and working properly, or bypassed either by burning a new chip or installing the correct resistor.

Painless has chips that have vats removed or vats bypass kits.. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294924927
